I am and have always been an avid fan of all things Japanese related. From their Samurai code of honor in their everyday lives to their upbeat pop culture that never ceases to entertain me. With all things aside Japanese manga pronounced "\ˈmäŋ-gə\" which are also known as Japanese comics or graphic novels have long since been known to provide children of all ages with wonderful fantasies of world's unknown. But why in the past decade have the sales of anything Manga related begun to boost in enormous numbers? The reason is simple, " What better way of escaping everyday life than going to a website such as mangastream.com and reading about what your favorite character is up to today in his"?
For many children whether it be another boring day at school or having a spare hour or so of doing anything besides videogames and t.v. Mangas have begun to be seen as the next rising star in all things cartoon related. Many mangas such as Naruto, One Piece, and Bleach have already begun departing from being comics to diversifying in movies, t.v. shows, videogames, toys, and various memorabilia. It not only comes down to a few comics becoming widely popular but rather a majority of all mangas coming from Japan have begun to spread like wildfire all over the world. Even countries such as the United States and Europe have already begun fitting into the manga craze.
Places such as the Bay Area and other neighboring cities have begun having conventions even bigger than those of famous American based t.v. shows such as Star Trek with characters from fantasy worlds of ninjas to adventuring superhuman pirates. They've also begun integrating English subbed Anime which are cartoon versions of the comics into American television and even the popular internet network Hulu.com.In the end nothing as big in animation since the likes of Disney and Warner have children been so immersed in cartoons from a culture different than their own.
